12/1/16 18th Annual Cookie Walk with Santa & Mystery Box!

COOKIE WALK & SANTA....It's that time again, Thanksgiving has come and gone and we are thinking of Christmas. And it wouldn't be Christmas without a visit to our annual Cookie Walk. The date is December 10th, and the fun will start at 9am. Walking in the door you will find tables and tables covered in cookies and other sweet treats. It smells like the old bakeries I went to as a kid, and there is that same excitement of trying to find that favorite treat. A carryout container and gloves are handed out and you are on your way to having a wonderful variety of goodies for your next get together, or even just to take home and munch on.
Santa will be there to hear the children's wants and wishes, and hand out bags provided by the Kingston-Dalton-Marquette Businessman's Asso. And as always, there will be a huge book sale, with a bag full of books costing only $5.00. Something new we started last year, was a raffle for a Mystery Box, full of wrapped gifts. There are 3 different jars you can throw your tickets in, the mystery box for women, men, or children. Cally Hunter was one of our winners last year and she said they had a blast unwrapping all the items. The Mystery Box drawing will be at 11am.
When you're done purchasing your cookies & books, and have had your chat with Santa, you can go down the street to the Kingston Historical Society and check out their vintage ornaments & Christmas decorations display. Their address is 575 Main street, right next to the American Legion
