MILL POND PUBLIC LIBRARY MINUTES
June 3, 2019
The board meeting was called to order by Kate Tyczinski at 6:00 p.m. Others present were Julie Barden, Betty Kastenschmidt, Joy Waterbury, Kes Thompson, Kathy Jerome, and Sara Wilson. Lenny Glover was absent. Motion by Kes and seconded by Joy to approve the previous meeting minutes. Motion by Kathy and seconded by Betty to approve the treasurer’s report.
OLD BUSINESS:
Date for the next Spring Fling will be April 18, 2020 and Kes will send out a “save the date” to our previous vendors.
Rummage for Reading Table made $75.00 in May.
3. New Board Member: Rachel Froehlich, Dawn Hart, Denise Garcia, and Linda Swanke all said no. Sara has not been able to get ahold of Abby Marcov. Lorrie Jansma was suggested as a member and Sara will talk to her.
BUILDING PLANS:
Sara handed out a plan to turn the reading room into the Savvy Senior Space. A motion by Kes and seconded by Joy was made to go ahead with the plan.
NEW BUSINESS:
The new display for June is “Travel the World Through Books”. Sara reported that books on WI travel are going out well.
Tai Chi classes will begin on Tuesday, June 11th at 5:15pm. 18 people are signed up so far.
Sara presented a preliminary budget for 2020. Joy asked if she could have 2019 comparative figures for the next meeting.
A motion to adjourn was made by Kes/seconded by Kathy.
The next regular meeting will be on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 6:00 p.m.
