06/18/14 Happenings at the Mill Pond Library

The Mill Pond Library Photography Club just finished its first exhibition.  They raised $330.00, which was donated to the library, from prints that sold and a drawing that was held.  The drawing featured a photo taken by member Kathy Sletten, and the lucky winner was Mark Dugenske of Marquette. The club is thinking of doing a barn crawl in the Fall, taking pictures of interesting looking barns.  If you'd be willing to have your barn photographed send an email to Kathy at ksletten@chorus.net.

5/1/14 Spring Art Show, Fundraisier

The Mill Pond Photography Club is hosting its first exhibition at the library in Kingston, featuring photographs taken by members.  The exhibit began April 26 and will run through May.  There are a variety of styles featured in the prints, ranging from sceneries to black and white shots of wildlife.  The photographs are all for sale.  All pictures measure 11 x 14 as mounted and will fit any standard 11 x 14 frame. Each print is $20.00. Any picture can be reprinted by the photographer in any size or in multiple quantities.

4/19/14 Thank You!

We would like to thank everyone that came on Thursday to show their support for the Library. Jack Meyers listened and answered questions from those gathered. We do have a petition at the library that you can sign to show your support for the Library. Thank you all again!

4/15/14 Support your Library Thursday Night at 6:30!!

If you've read the paper the past few weeks you've seen the articles about the library funding issue between the Green Lake County Finance Committee and the libraries in Green Lake County.  On Thursday, April 17th at 6:30pm the Kingston library will be hosting a meeting with County Board Chairman and finance comm. member Jack Meyers, addressing a group of concerned citizens about the issue.  Please stop by and chat with Jack about how important the libraries are in our County and the need for support.
